Welcome to the

Obstructive sleep apnea syndrome

As one main research focus of the Department of Pulmonology, patients with obstructive sleep apnea are examined in detail and included in research projects. Of particular interest are the effect of CPAP treatment on various vessels and whether obstructive sleep apnea syndrome can be diagnosey by breath analysis. In another study, we assess the impact of obstructive sleep apnea on the thoracic aorta.

Additionally, we perform epidemiological studies where the prevalence of obstructive sleep apnea in patients with various diseases is assessed.

If you are interested in participating in a research project, we would be pleased to send you more detailed information. Please feel free to contact us anytime at the address provided.
