Obstructive sleep apnea
As one main research focus of the Department of Pulmonology, patients with obstructive sleep apnea are examined in detail and included in research projects. Of particular interest are the influence of repeated sleep studies on diagnosis and whether obstructive sleep apnea can be diagnosed by breath analysis. Additionally, we perform epidemiological studies where the prevalence of obstructive sleep apnea in patients with various diseases is assessed (e.g. Sarcoidosis).
If you are diagnosed with obstructive sleep apnea and are interested in participating in a research project, we would be pleased to send you more detailed information. Please feel free to contact us anytime at the address provided.
