Welcome to the

Sarcoidosis

Sarcoidosis is a systemic inflammatory disease whose cause is not yet known. In most cases, the lymph nodes in the chest cavity and the lungs are affected and the diagnosis is frequently made by bronchoscopic tissue sampling. After confirmation of the diagnosis, other manifestations of sarcoidosis outside the lung are searched.

In many cases, sarcoidosis develops erratically, both in the acute and chronic forms of the disease. The collaboration of several specialists is often necessary because sarcoidosis can manifest itself in different organs.

As the illness progresses, regular checks of the relevant functional parameters as well as interdisciplinary patient care is required.
