General pulmonology

Common lung diseases

The clinic for general pulmonology offers competent diagnosis and treatment of all acute and chronic diseases of the lungs and airways. The causes of coughing, shortness of breath and other related respiratory symptoms are often unclear.

Some of the most common lung diseases are COPD and emphysema, which are caused by smoking, as well as bronchial asthma.

Uncommon lung diseases

Another focus is on the diagnosis and treatment of patients with parenchymal lung and rare lung diseases such as pulmonary fibrosis, eosinophilic lung diseases or lymphangioleiomyomatosis. Recent advances in pulmonology enable the majority of these diseases to be treated.

Work-related lung diseases

The assessment of work-related lung diseases and respiratory disability are performed by order of the SUVA or other insurance providers.

In-depth communication with the pulmonology subspecialties and the Department of Thoracic Surgery, as well as individual case discussions with other specialists, enable us to provide health care in accordance with current medical knowledge, adapted to the needs of the patient.
